Passage: John 4:13-15
Text: John 4:13-15, Mar 10:46-52
Title: “Fill My Cup LORD!” Step#1
Intro:
Have you ever been so low that you couldn’t pick yourself up? Has it seemed as if there was no end to the darkness you were living in?
Prop:
Yeshua is the way, the light, and the life. All you need to do is come to Him!
Body:
Are You Ready?
Everyone, Saints, Aints, and Sinners should be crying out Fill Me Up LORD!
The world needs Yayah much more than it realizes.
Their destruction is imminent, and yet they continue to seek after carnal things.
The wise come to realize the source of all life, health, and strength is Yayah.
- I realize there is no aspect of my life I don’t require my God’s help with
- There is no shame in needing Yah’s Guidance in your life
- There is great wisdom in seeking the Creator for direction of one’s life
Mankind is borne empty and in search of what makes them complete.
- Every human being at some time searches and questions what is missing
- The obvious choice should be seeking Yayah to make life complete
Most humans turn to God only after reaching the absolute rock bottom.
- When we have run out of options
- When we have nowhere to go
- When there is no one else that can/will help us
- When we are so desperate that nothing else matters anymore
Many people end up in dire conditions because they relied on people, not God.
- People are limited in resources, knowledge, compassion, grace and mercy
- People are selfish and fickle
Tragedy can be limited when we seek Yah’s face, will, and guidance in life.
However, most don’t arrive at this obvious conclusion without dire circumstances.
Make no mistake, into each life a little rain must fall! We won’t escape tragedy, but we can receive strength, support, and guidance that make it bearable.
There are two states where a filling is required/desired:
- Either the vessel in question is partially filled
- Or the vessel in question is completely empty
Partially filled vessels are tricky:
- Determine the substance in the container? (Carnal Thoughts/ways)
- Can the two substances be mixed without creating issues? (Yes/No)
- Will either substance destroy the effectiveness of the other?
- Can a negative reaction occur due to mixing the two substances? (Yes)
Totally empty vessels easier:
- Clear the remnants of prior substance from container (Sin/Our will)
- Fill the container (Righteousness)
So, a Spiritual Filling can be the same as a cleansing!
- The Holy has no congress with the unholy, nor the clean with the unclean
- Cannot fill a partially filled vessel of sin with Holiness
- All vessels used by God must be emptied and cleansed first
- Scrubbing cleaning is not equivalent to emptying
- Emptying requires a scrubbing afterward
- The cleansing is part of the repurposing of a person’s life by God
Two goals:
- How can I apply this and commit to be better? (Change of mind)
- How can I apply this and commit to do better? (Change in actions)
Conclusion:
Yayah is asking you to change. Are you willing? “Are You Ready?”
