"What Is The Lesson?"

Passage: Job 3:11-13

Intro:

While it may seem illogical to expect joy during tribulation, we must learn to see the benefits, even in the midst of our pain. A clouded mind brings forth wrath and poor decisions, but clarity creates opportunity!

Prop:

Seek Yeshua and trade in your despair and pain for peace and joy! Reassurance is just one prayer away!

Body:

                                                            Are You Ready?

Every tribulation is an opportunity for us to grow, to change!

Isa 55:7-9

7Let the wicked forsake their ways
    and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

We struggle, either willingly or unwillingly, to see what God sees within us, good or bad.

This makes it impossible to understand why trials are necessary, as well as what is being put into us and taken out of us!

As humans face an unclear picture that is our future, we oftentimes become angry with Yah over the process that is our life!

In times of trouble the best course of action is to seek the Face of Yah, not to try opposing Him!

  • Who has the power to stay the hand of Satan?
  • Who has the ability to turn the situation around?
  • What do we accomplish by pointing the finger at Yah?

Troubled times are sometimes an opportunity for introspection, to see me!

  • What have I done wrong?
  • How can I change my life for the better?
  • Are there any unconfessed sins, or issues I need to address?
  • Is this an opportunity for me to grow/change for the better?

So, what was the lesson for Job:

  • Yah’s Love for Job exceeded the materials things He gave to him.
  • Yah’s Love accepted Job as a sinner and remained at Job’s lowest points.
  • Job never earned God’s Love, but rather it was given to him.
  • God’s ways and thoughts are beyond us, as are His reasonings.
  • Seek Yayah for strength, but the sovereignty of Yah must be accepted.

What Biblical Principles did Job apply:

  • Stewardship – he held himself accountable
  • Steadfastness – he never lost his faith in God
  • Prayer & Fasting – he sought God through the entirety of his experience
  • Humility – he repented concerning his behavior (pity party, questions)

Now seek Yayah as you search within yourself to know “What Is the Lesson?”

  1. Biblical Foundation: Yah’s Love doesn’t exclude His People from trials.
  2. Lesson Aim: I will learn that even the most righteous person is imperfect.
  3. Life Application: I will consider the faithfulness of Yah in my life.

Two goals:

  1. I will see trials as an opportunity for spiritual growth. (Change of mind)
  2. I will learn to apply Biblical principles for consecration. (Change in actions)

Conclusion:

Yayah is asking you to change. Are you willing? “Are You Ready?”
