Passage: Jeremiah 6:16-24
Text: Jer 6:16-24
Title: “Spiritual Reciprocity”
Body:
Are You Ready?
Now, let’s talk Family! Can we talk?
We should seek Yah and study His Word with specific purpose and intent!
Ask yourself, what is my purpose? We talk reciprocity amongst humans often.
Amo 3:3 NIV
- Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?
In order for two to walk together several things must be true:
- This is a decision that is made between two or more parties.
- They must agree upon their destination.
- They must agree upon the path they will take.
- They must travel at the same pace.
- They need to share something in common.
Yah created Man to enjoy the beauty of a loving relationship with beings who could chose to love Him in return.
- This environment doesn’t work without agreeance.
- Love and Peace are foundational
- Trust and Hope are staples
- Yah desires to provide for and protect His People
- Yah desires to strengthen and fulfill His People’s lives
The sins of Mankind prevent them from being capable of walking with God.
- Man finds it difficult to obey
- Man struggles with Holiness since flesh rules his thought process
- Without the Holy Spirit Man rarely defeats demonic influence
Yah:
- Created Mankind’s environment
- Provides protection to the entire Earth
- Seeks after relationship with all Mankind
- Constrains demonic activity
- Provides daily protection to the Holy and unholy
- Gives life, health, and strength to the Holy and unholy
Spiritual Reciprocity:
- Willingness to give what is given to us
- Place your relationship with God above that of any other
- Willingness to place similar effort and emphasis on love & respect
- Seek God’s Presence the way He seeks you out daily
- Willingness to meet each other’s emotional and spiritual needs
- Return love to a God who loves you unconditionally
Yah deserves our devotion to Him simply because He is God, but also because of how devoted He actually is to all of us!
- People forget us, but God never does
- People leave us, but God never will never forsake us
- People run out of patience for us, but God is always there
- Who except Yah would/has sacrificed their own life for yours?
- Who asks for nothing but your love, but desires to give you everything?
Why have we struggled, historically, to give Yah the reciprocity we desire?
It is actually within our own best self-interest to reciprocate God’s Love.
Believe it, or not, I want what is best for you, as God does, and He is best!
Two goals:
- How can I apply this and commit to be better? (Change of mind)
- How can I apply this and commit to do better? (Change in actions)
Conclusion:
Yah is asking you to love Him. Are you willing to love Him? Are you ready?
Remember, let’s stay focused! (F.O.C.U.S.) Fixed On Christ Under Stress!
