August 03, 2025 | Pastor Charles P. Akins, Sr.

Passage: Psalms 3:3-5

Intro:

There isn’t a single person who has ever lived that was not in need of something. Everything that you need can be acquired in consistent Prayer & Praise.

Prop:

If you want your needs to be met, then I suggest that you seek the Lord Yayah in diligent Prayer and Praise. He will supply all your need!

Body:

                                                            Are You Ready?

The purpose of combing elements, strengths, or attributes is to create the most powerful, or advantageous person, group, or situation.

The combination of Prayer & Praise is no different for spiritual success!

Our goal is to create the most advantageous spiritual atmosphere possible!

We begin at the beginning, by trying to eliminate “Us” from Yah’s Work!

E.G.O. = Edging God Out

The last thing we should want is to exclude Yah from our growth or evolution.

Prayer:

Prayer provides the comfort of our belief in Almighty Yah, as well as the peace Yah provides in His presence!

Prayer demonstrates trust in Yah acknowledging dependence, surrendering control, and believing in His guidance, even when circumstances are uncertain.

Prayer provides opportunity to:

  • Repent of wrongdoing and receive forgiveness
  • Receive help from Yahuah
  • Receive comfort, strength, and peace during trials
  • Receive direction and guidance

Praise:

Praise provides a boost of hope as we reconcile the power of Yah with our faith in His desire to provide, the peace and deliverance.

Praising God can be a powerful practice with numerous benefits, including strengthening faith, shifting focus from problems to God, and fostering a deeper connection with Him. It can also bring joy, peace, and a sense of fulfillment.

Praise provides:

  • Shielding from the atrocities and wickedness of the world
  • Opportunity to spend time in Yahuah’s Presence
  • Chance to focus on Yah’s goodness, rather than your problems
  • Increase in strength of your Faith Walk
  • Repair of emotional and spiritual damage

The formula becomes: Prayer x Praise = Peace

When we combine Prayer & Praise, we not only invite the Presence of Yah into our lives, but we simultaneously draw closer to Him. Yah’s presence changes a person for the better.

  1. Biblical Foundation: Faith leads Believers to trust in prayer and praise.
  2. Lesson Aim: That Believers learn to trust in prayer and praise for peace.
  3. Life Application: Our lives will be more peaceful with prayer and praise.

Two goals:

  1. How can I apply this and commit to be better? (Change of mind)
  2. How can I apply this and commit to do better? (Change in actions)

Conclusion:

Yayah is asking you to change. Are you willing? “Are You Ready?”
