"Is God Waiting On You?"

Passage: Jeremiah 29:11

Introduction:

Most people believe we are in an ask receive mode at all times, but are we? Perhaps sometimes Yah is quite frankly waiting on us to get ourselves together! Whether that is growth in our faith, patience, strength, or knowledge! Most times God is waiting on us!

Proposal:

Let us learn to focus on growing in grace, and in the knowledge of Christ our Lord and Savior! Let God have His way and you will receive what you need!

Body:

I have come to the realization that most times I am not waiting on God to do anything!

Rather, He is waiting on me to catch up with Him!

God already knows what my purpose is in Him!

God has already made distinct and complete plans for my life!

God’s Will is based upon your response:

  • Perfect
  • Permissive

God makes and designs specific plans for each of our lives.

The walk of Salvation is also the process by which God prepares us to do His will!

Daniel 10:12-14

12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.

One could argue that Daniel had simply to believe that Yah was going to prevail on behalf of His people.

We aren’t waiting on God:

  • We have so much growth that we need to experience
  • We have much more faith we need to develop
  • We have need of more patience
  • We are learning to walk in joy and peace
  • We are learning and trying to manifest the gifts God has entrusted to us

Let us search ourselves:

  • Do you have a need or desire you are trusting God for?
    • Are you where God wants you to be?
    • Do you know what gifts God has given you
    • Are you operating/walking in those gifts?
  • Do you have any unconfessed sins, doubts, fears, or issues?
  • Is there any unforgiveness in your heart?
  • Are you seeking God daily?
  • Do you trust God completely?
  • How do you respond to adverse conditions?
    • Prayer & Praise
    • Murmuring & Complaining

Mature Saints find less trouble or difficulty having faith during difficult times.

If we can learn to change our approach to tribulation, we can change the conditions of many situations in our lives!

There will always be some instances where we must wait.

The wisdom is in knowing if God is waiting on us, or if we are waiting on Him.

Like the Serenity Prayer says:

God will give us the strength to change what we can change!

Job wasn’t afraid to take a look at himself and we must do the same.

Let us be certain that we aren’t the obstruction to God’s Will.

Conclusion:

Wise people learn to obey nd seek the face of God. They learn to put aside their pride, which is no easy task for humans.

Don't let it be that God is waiting on you before He can move ahead with a desire or need in your life!

Don't be an obstruction to your own blessings!
