Passage: Jeremiah 6:8-16

Text: Jer 6:8-17

Title: "I Don't Want To!"

Intro:

There is not one soul, save Yeshua, who walked this Earth without offending the direction and will of Yah! Yet, some humble themselves, and others are made to be humbled because they refuse to let go of pride!

Prop:

While Yah is a Loving God, he yet possesses a side which seeks to rectify willful evil and disobedience. Humility will help us avoid this side of Him.

Body:

“Are You Ready?”

The most righteous person you know has once said “No, I don’t want to!”

  • I don’t want to ignore my sinful nature and urges
  • I don’t want to obey the Commandments of God
  • I don’t want to be corrected nor convicted of sin
  • I don’t want to be different from others

Demonic influence has made this world a very selfish place.

  1. Humans don’t want to surrender, and we don’t want to listen.
  2. Don’t want to face difficulty, and don’t want to wait for change.
  3. Don’t want to give, but we expect everyone to help us.
  4. Don’ want to be mistreated, but don’t want to mind our tongues.
  5. Sin is normalized to encourage one’s fall and slavery to it

Destruction:
• Rooted in Selfishness
• Don't understand difficulty is part of everyone’s life
• Sin entered the world, and difficulty came with it
• We think we don't deserve difficulty, but forget what happened to Yeshua
• No one is exempt from trouble

Ya’israel said “I Don’t Want To”, but you don’t have to make the same mistake!

Demons hate us and realize that turmoil causes us to sin against Yah!

  • As such, pain finds every living person, no one can avoid it
    • We will all be betrayed, abandoned, hated, or persecuted

Yet the destruction one faces when Yah leaves their life is more severe.

  • Generations have been lost
  • Natural disasters have wiped out worlds, lands, and nations
  • Families, communities, children, and homes have been victimized
  • Violence has become an expectation
  • Murder, rape, and abuse a daily experience

If we take any position on today it must be to say “I Don’t Want To!”

  • I don’t want to be like my ancestors who failed God!
  • I don’t want to be like people who use the Word for my purposes/gain
  • I don’t want to be like everyone else
  • I don’t want to displease Yayah
  • I don’t want to have Yah disown me
  • I don’t want to be lost
  • I don’t want to hear “Depart from me” on Judgment Day

What will Yah say to you when you see Him on that day, and you will see Him!

Two goals:

  1. How can I commit to be better? (Change of mind)
  2. How can I commit to do better? (Change in actions)

Conclusion:

Yayah is asking you to make a change. Are you willing to change? Are you ready?
