Title: “How Do People See You?”
Body:
Are You Ready?
Now, let’s talk Family! Can we talk?
We should seek Yah and study His Word with specific purpose and intent!
Ask yourself, what is my purpose? What is your final objective in life?
Do we truly wish to see God in peace? Our conduct must be the top priority!
Humility and accountability, are direct result of Salvation and a transformed mind.
When we see God in judgement Yah will not ask us about how others treated us.
- We will be judged by our obedience to the Word.
- We will be judged by how we treated others
- We will be judged by how we reacted to others
- Did we forgive?
- Did we show grace and mercy?
- Did we blame others for how we behave?
- Did we hold ourselves accountable
- We will be judged by whether or not we repented
So, reaction is important when we consider how people are reacting to our behavior.
- Are the behaviors exhibited by others a function of us, or of them?
- Are people reacting to our bad behavior?
- Sometimes the negative we see in others is reaction to us
- Do we always see who we are and what we do?
- Are we the only ones who think we are always innocent?
- When you point the finger at others, three more are pointing to you
- Seek the Holy Spirit, not people likely to agree with us
People who lack accountability will find it difficult to change and to repent.
- I can’t be convicted when I believe that everyone else is at fault
- When I can convince myself that I was right there is not conviction.
- If I am not convicted, I will not repent
- If I don’t repent, I cannot be forgiven
- If I don’t forgive, I cannot be forgiven either
- No one else is responsible for how we react to them
- People are responsible for themselves, and we for ourselves
- The Holy Spirit should guide our actions, not the actions of others
The question then arises, “How Do People See You?”
- Can people see the “Fruit of the Spirit” cultivating within you?
- Can people see the reflection of the image of Christ in you?
- Can people feel the power of the Holy Spirit emanating from within you?
- Can people receive/see peace, joy, love, strength, or anointing within you?
- Are they encouraged, inspired, or comforted after speaking with you?
- Can they feel the Love of God emanating from within you?
- Do you seem different, or like every other person they meet?
If there is a calling upon our lives that calling should reach someone else.
It is not enough that we proclaim ourselves as servants of God, the Spirit must reconcile this proclamation with power, anointing, and love as evidence!
All birds have feathers whether or not they all fly!
Two goals:
- How can I apply this and commit to be better? (Change of mind)
- How can I apply this and commit to do better? (Change in actions)
Conclusion:
Yah is asking you to change. Are you willing to change? Are you ready?
