"From Prison To The Palace!"

Passage: Genesis 39:19-23
Body:
Before the Lord elevates you, you have a prison experience or spiritual sculpting.
The process of growth correlates directly with trials.
Isa 54:17 (No weapon formed) They will form, they simply won’t defeat you!
- Joseph faced man different weapons, none of which destroyed him.
As we see from the story of Joseph, even during the Palace experiences you will face trials and tribulation. (Potiphar’s Wife/7 yr Famine)
You are groomed and tested in order to prepare and propel you!
The Anointing:
- Demons can see God’s Hand on you.
- Their goal is to deter or stop you completely
- The best time for attack is when you haven’t begun to use your gifts
- When in training or before you are aware of your gift
- This is why demons tend to vigorously attack some people in their youth
- They wish to stop them before they understand who they are in God
- Joseph became aware of his gift at an early age
- He was able to forge a strong bond with God very early in life
- He was protected every time he faced peril
- He was able to forge a strong bond with God very early in life
The anointing brings jealousy, envy, admiration, and capitalism.
- Some will hate you, and others will respect or use you for your gift.
Spiritual Attributes of a Prison (Life In Sin):
- Cold – experience a lack of love (Never feels quite genuine)
- Isolated – experience loneliness (Abandonment inevitable)
- Violent – danger/worry/anxiety
- Captive – hopelessness/permanent despair
- Chains – loss of control/addiction/sin
- Small Cell – lack/deficiency/ constant need/ depravation
- Guards – fear/intimidation/generational curse
- High Walls – defeat/stronghold
Prison experiences can either make or break you depending upon your faith.
Spiritual Attributes of a Palace (Life In Yeshua):
- Warm – joy
- Light – peace
- Elegant – abundance
- Roomy – freedom/hope
- Guards – safety
- High Walls – protection
- Beauty – holiness
- Pristine - Salvation
Praise in the process illustrates: (Acts 16:25-27 Paul and Silas Praise in Prison)
- Faith in God
- Trust in God’s Word
- Patience in waiting
- Confidence in God’s Power
- Make Praise a Weapon
- Foundation: God’s gifts make room for and prosper you (Gen 41:39-41)
- Lesson Aim: A spirit of praise and worship makes it easier to cope with
- Life Application: Focusing on what God wants helps you get what you need
Two goals:
- How can I commit to be better? I will see trials as growth opportunities.
- How can I commit to do better? I will praise and worship in all situations.
Conclusion:
We don’t get to decide whether, or not, we have spiritual battles.
We do get to choose how we fight them and how we go through trials.
Praising God in the midst of trials occurs when we truly learn to trust in Him!
