Passage: Amos 3:1-2
Intro:
Yah chose Israel, a family, by way of Abram due to his faith. Yehusa came to call to repentance the House of Israel, but to save the world (See Matt 7:6).
Prop:
The Church is intended to function as a family! There is strength in working together!
Body:
Matthew 6:14-15 (KJV)
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
- God is our Father, head of our family, and provider.
- Yeshua is the Big Brother.
- The Holy Spirit acts as the nurturer, guide, comforter, and strengthens.
The Church began as a family for a reason (Israel)
• Believers are to form one unit against wickedness
• We must not fight amongst each other
• Don't destroy the family from within
• The Dark Kingdom is your real enemy
• If the family isn't healthy you aren't either
• Whatever harms our family harms us
• You can't fight battles well at less than 100%
• We get our strength from familia love
• The stronger the family bond the better we cope with life challenges
• The family is your nucleus, gives you power
There is a structure which works to the benefit of God and His Believers.
- Heartfelt love and obedience, from Believers.
- Reward of protection, peace, joy, and provision from the Father.
Yah doesn’t need mankind; he created us so that we could have a loving relationship with Him by choice. (True Love is reciprocal)
Therefore, Yah’s expectation is:
- Yield to the Lord God in all aspects of your life and be transformed.
- Yah seeks to remove the taint of sin and wickedness from His people.
- Use this transformation to relate to your family in love.
- As you change you learn how to love righteously.
- Once this transformation is complete your family life reflects it.
- Apply this love to others, just as you love God and Family.
- You are perfected by Yah and able to share your love with others.
- Show the world the power of God’s Word and Love in your life.
- People change families, families change communities, and those communities can change the world around them.
Colossians 3:18-20 (KJV)
18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
Two goals:
- How can I commit to be better?
- How can I commit to do better?
Conclusion:
God has called you to be a part of Hid Family, but he gives you the right to choose.
